I recevied a notecard the other day from KMADD enterprise to check out a new designer of male clothing. He opened up his first shop at KMADD. I have been looking for a pair of sneakers. I wanted a certain style, and how about it…the ones I have been wanting were in the notecard. So, I decided to check out the new store. It is called mechanism and the designer/owner is Kobe Flatley. I went to the store and bought the shoes. I was impressed. In his first time store were lots of jackets (plaid, jean, hooded), tees, tanks, jeans, casual pants, scarfs, sneakers, and belts. My casual fashion brain was in overload. I was loving it! I im’ed Kobe and said what a nice job I thought he had done so far and he was nice enough to come over and meet me. Let me tell you he is a great guy. He let me ask him some questions regarding his new store and his designs. He says that his inspiration is his real life style. He wants to wear in SL what he wears in RL….sounds cool to me. When asking him about the unique name of mechanism, he said that he wanted something related to urban life and style. Kirk Claymore suggested mechanism and it stuck. Kobe hopes to showcase his designs on the catwalk soon, but admits things are happening so fast….not that he is complaining. ahah. Well I quickly clicked on his subscrib-o-matic so I can see what he comes up with next. For a first time designer-he for sure is one to watch. Way to go Kobe-keep it up!
