Hello, hello, hello! My name is Scar Ayres, and this is my first blog since
joining the ranks of the gorgeous and fabulous here at FACES. And
since it’s That Time Again, I figured what better way to start off
than with another mention of the Relay for Life. If you missed the
Clothing Fair you missed out on a lot of amazing limited edition
outfits, but it’s not too late to do your bit to support the American
Cancer Society anyway.

When I saw that ETD had released several gorgeous, limited edition
sets of hair, I had to zoom right over and nab them. There’s just
something about the flowing curls and silky bandana of Strength III
that inspired me to throw together this outfit – a little bit hippy, a
lot bit fab, if there was ever a valid excuse to wear pink and orange
together then this is it!

Spring is in the air! Or better: should be in the air.. ’cause where I live we are experiencing unusually heavy snow fall for this time of year. But for now I’m going to ignore that and pretend the sun is shining and  that the air is filled with the scent of blossoms, perfect for the gorgeous gown I’m wearing!

Heya!

A few of you may have seen me wandering the grid or visited my shop I
also own a blog . However today I’m greeting you as a faces model! I’m
very excited to be part of this agency :D

In regards to my style I think as soon as you see the images the
following will become clear. I am not a “pretty” fashion person. I
never aim to showcase beauty and therefore I think I have freedom over
what I’m trying to say with an outfit. Equally I don’t want people to
look at me and go “my god what a pretentious boob” a lot of these
pieces have been put together because they’re funny. Fashion should
have humour or it becomes far too serious and there’s far too much
trout-pouting going on already. If anything, I’d say and hope you
would agree I try to be fearless or bold with what I wear.
Right enough egotistical introductions or my head wont fit into my snaps!

Disco History

I’m wearing;
Eyes : Glanz -Fresh Blue
Hair : Zsa Zsa’s -exotic diva (moded by me, added a fringe and made it grey)
Skin : Draconic Kiss’s - Theresa Spade
Gloves : Panjen’s - Biker Gloves in Purple
Hat : Chapeau tres Mignon’s - HMS Isabella
Socks : Maitreya - Toeless socks in purple and pink
Collar: Wardrobe Trunk – part of the virgin set
Dress: Armidi : Rainy Day in black
Clutch : Tres Blah – yellow clutch
Painted cat-suity thing: *FS * -Splat

I’ve called this outfit Disco History simply because that is exactly
what I think my “personal style” is. I love historical thing and I
love neon’s in touches. Anything juxtaposed I think makes for great
fashion. I never try and dress above my age.

Most of these items are old favourites that I jumbled up for this blog
entry. The hair particularly is a favourite, anyone whose seen me will
know I’m always a silver fox. It’s like my sickening visual catch
phrase.
The skin to albeit not the most “everyday” is hands down my fav in SL.
(sorry Fleur I love you still!) I spent weeks saving for this in my
slightly poor noob days. Draconic kiss if anyone hasn’t been there is
an amazing shop not to be missed. The sim as well is built
wonderfully.

Gloves are almost in every outfit I wear. The just finish off a look,
along with a hat. This hat is very similar to a Phillip Tracey hat
that iv always wanted in RL in fact its name pays homage to the lat
Isabella Blow who should be a style icon to us all.
The dress for this outfit needed to be plain as the attention is with
the extras, this black number from armidi is perfect. The collar adds
drama (much needed of course).

The shoes and socks are fairly self explanatory, the toeless ones form
maiteya have such rich colour. This teamed with the clutch picks out
all the colours in the paint splat jumpsuit.

I love paint splats they remind me of art and being free to make a
mess. Using them mixed with the French aristocrat style makeup and
collar I feal I have created a bright, cheerful and only slightly arty
farty look.

Loads of Love
