One might say this outfit screams more of something from the 80’s with the bright color but I couldn’t keep this outfit hidden into one decade as history always has a way of repeating itself.

Sculpties are being used more in the SL fashion design.  This traditional moto jacket in candy pink by Muism is a good example and the inspiration for today’s outfit.  They designed the piece with using the jacket layer and then matched it up with detailed sculpties and prims.  There are many other jacket styles and colors available.

It’s cold outside for the majority of people playing Second Life, though our avatars are lucky they don’t have to worry about the weather before stepping foot/paw/other outside.

Warming Up for Winter

When it comes to fashion I feel like I have seen much but do not know all.  Through the work of Creators Stamp Rally 2007 (CSRI discovered some not so traveled stores and picked up this cozy winter jacket from Double Paradox.  The originality of it and the work of prims make it a one of a kind.  Though not pictured, the prim sleeves have a cute button detail that match those found on the hoody collar.  The prim ties on the jacket make it feel like it has been naturally worn instead of being perfectly closed.  The prim ties and lower jacket come in large and small sizes and can be easily manipulated to match your shape with basic builder’s knowledge.  Read the rest of this entry »

‘Scuse me, little miss Hannah Montana…Eat your heart out!  :-P

blog_facesdigitcubic.jpg

So I kept spotting this very chic, way cool shirtdress thingamjig and thought the layered look of the shirt hem seemed so innovative.  And I also kept hearing the name of a store bantered around: Ce Cubic Effect.  I kept the name in the back of my mind to check out, but apparently I was keeping it too far back.  Then I saw the shirtdress again and surprise, surprise!  It’s from Cubic Effect.  I went, I shopped, and am now counting the days til my next $L paycheck.

The prim work is absolutely fantastic and thankfully modifiable.  My shape is not the easiest to mod prims to fit, so pardon my imperfections.  I’m showing the gray version yet it’s available in other colors as well.

De pants, de pants!  Literally…DE pants.  DE Designs latest–basic leathers without all the belts and whistles–I, among others, begged for these and finally they are here.  I’m wearing black, but these also come in brown and slate.

Now how ’bout the skin?  These are brand new and the debut skinline from the Darkes Sisters (aka Aleri and Digit).  A massive release of the wild, the colorful and the couture and not for the faint of heart.  This is my favorite so far being as I am a sucker for that smoky eyed look.  I’ll let you in a little secret: this is by no means a review of the skins since I have yet to even take my clothes of to get a gander at the nakedness, but the makeup choices look to be lots of unique and unconventional fun!

As for the title of this post?  Well, yeah it’s a Hannah Montana song LOL (no, I’m not a fan, I just watch a little TV on occasion believe it or not…and hey, it was the name of a Van Halen song first so pfffttt!! ), but if you ever wondered what the real life Queenie would wear if Queenie could wear what she wanted…you’re looking at it ;-)

Today’s trends have made popular opinion to wear silver, white gold, and platinum.  But it’s hard to not still turn an eye to yellow gold.
